SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

Social development is a process that empowers people, so that they are able to bring about economic and social improvement in their lives. This involves bringing about structural changes, community organizing, and institution building.

Some of the aims of social development are:

1) Alleviation of economic, social, and political oppression
2) Address discrimination against women, racial, people with disabilities, cultural, and religious minorities.
3) Promote social justice, conflict management, and peace initiatives
