The era of the steady state is gone or obsolete. We are living in an era of change and diversity. Diversity deals with the recognition of the differences we recognize in others and ourselves. Understanding of diversity deals with the premise that out of many, we are one.

The Inclusive Process Convey the Valuing of Diversity

Everyone is :

  • Involved in the process
  • Working toward the same goal appreciative of everyone's contributions

The Village of 100 in 2003 will look like

  • 60 Asians
  • 13 Europeans
  • 13 North and South Americans
  • 13 Africans
  • 1 Oceanian

Among the Village of 100

  • 22 would be of European Origin
  • 66 would be non-Christian
  • 5 would be U.S. residents
  • 14 would control 52% of the village's wealth
  • 78 would be able to read (5 grades completed by the age of 15)
  • 40 would be suffering from malnutrition
  • 80 would have an insufficient diet
  • 40 would live in a substandard housing
  • 18 would have a college education (adults 25 years)
  • 20 would consume 86% of village's goods & services.
